Friend of Museum	Tags : None Remove this ad I created this forum because AutoReturn seems to be growing and taking up more and more of the "middle man" position in police towing and now it looks like they are trying to get into secondary towing for body shops and such... If you feel that we really do not need to be worried about this group, I think you are wrong... "To be honest, I'm more worried about what the government can do to me than what they can do for me."

Posts: 148 06/21/11 15:53:09	We do need to worry about this kind of infringement into our industry, but at the same time we need to do a little housekeeping among ourselves also. This country thrives on the free enterprize system and we have to make a profit to be in business. The problem lies with educating the right people about our cost of operation and hopefully educate them in what it takes us to operate. The next problem is that a few operators get greedy and cause problems for the rest of us. It should be a fact that non-consent towing is worth more than normal consent tows, and accident recovery is worth more than a normal breakdown tow. Now for the problem, How much more is it worth and where is the breaking point into what is unrealistic? It is also fact that operating cost varies greatly from one part of the country to another. I have no answers, does anyone else? Steve
