Colonial - API Certified Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Colonial Chemical capabilities for the supply of Diesel Exhaust Fluid, exceeding the ISO Specification 22241-1 in a variety of packages.
Product:
- Colonial has a license from the American Petroleum Institute to supply API Certified DEF
- Colonial's DEF has specifications that exceed ISO 22241-1 (See Attached)
- As a result of our patent pending C-Blue process, Colonial's DEF has no alkalinity as shipped and therefore no smell. This will assure the longest product shelf life.
- We provide a full ISO 22241-1 "Certificate of Analysis", performed by an independent third party laboratory, with each shipment.
- DEF is a standard product at Colonial, and is available today in bulk, totes, and drums. We would request 2 to 3 weeks lead time for initial small package orders to assure that we have proper packaging materials and labels.
Technical Support:
- Colonial has over 12 years of experience making, handling, storing, packaging and transporting urea solutions, which it will bring production, distribution systems and dealerships.
- Colonial's chemists are very knowledgeable about all aspect of urea and will be available to address and questions and concerns.
- Colonial has MSDS, DEF handling data, and use information that it can make available electronically and in hard copy for the training of your factory personnel, dealers and others in your supply chain in all aspects of DEF.

Supply Capabilities:
- Colonial has the installed capacity to supply 25,000 gallons of DEF per day, today.
- We have been supplying DEF in 1 gallon, 2.5 gallon, 5 gallon, 55 gallon, and 275 gallon packages, offered herein, as standard products for the past 2 years.
- We can ship in bulk using dedicated stainless steel equipment
- We have existing infrastructure and capital to expand regionally to support the DEF market growth.
The Specification for our DEF Product is attached below. We have all of our Certificates of Analysis done by a third party analytical laboratory for independent confirmation. We have also successfully completed a round robin testing program on our DEF product with a major European Automotive company and an independent European laboratory. We are particularly proud of our low insolubles, aldehydes and initial alkalinity, all of which are critical to system performance and product shelf-life.
