Friend of Museum	Tags : None Remove this ad Las Vegas, NV - Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto announced today the arrest of Randall Bondy and Daiana Azpilcueta, owners and operators of Cal-Neva Transport and Tow, Inc. ("Cal-Neva Transport and Tow"), on multiple felony counts of theft by embezzlement of vehicles involuntary towed. The charges carry a potential penalty of up to five years' imprisonment and a $10,000 fine on each felony count. The allegations against Bondy and Azpilcueta will be tried in a court of law and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven otherwise. The complaints filed in Carson City Justice Court allege that Bondy and Azpilcueta embezzled vehicles towed by Cal-Neva Transport and Tow when they refused to release the vehicles to the owners. One victim related to this arrest is Avis Budget Car Rentals who had one of its stolen rental cars towed by Cal-Neva Transport and Tow. "The Attorney General's Office serves as a public resource for complaints concerning these practices," said Attorney General Masto. If your vehicle has been involuntarily towed by Cal-Neva Transport and Tow, and the company will not return the vehicle upon payment of towing fees, contact the Nevada Attorney General's Office in Carson City at (775) 684-1180. Posts: 13 10/28/08 14:25:03	I am actually shocked to read this story. I've meet both Randy and Diana and think they are both respectable honest business people. Am sure we do not have the entire story. And would expect a favorable finding for these reputable people. Dennis P.S. This is a entirely different company than Cal-Nevada based out of Reno which specializes in heavy duty towing and transportation. This smaller family owned company with a similar name which is out of Carson City Nevada which does primarily light duty towing, is the one mentioned in the news article. I thought I'd add that because of the similar names, just so nobody thought that they were the same company or even associated with one another. Either way I certainly hope that the truth proves Randy and Diana to be innocent of all charges. The Bear That Keeps Going And Towing

To me that is very confusing and of course this, even though its two different companies I feel that somehow the "image" will be affected by the close names. "To be honest, I'm more worried about what the government can do to me than what they can do for me."

Posts: 13 10/31/08 09:10:54	Richard, Cal Nevada never liked the idea that another company got approved with such a similar name as his company's. And I know that from taking to Diana at Cal-Nava. She mentioned that in a conversion she had with me back in 2005. Which was not all that pleasant, or that's she indicated anyway. That "they did not like that at all" and Cal-Neva should really change there name. And it may seem a little confusing, but Cal -Nevada really does have a extremely reputable reputation here in Northern California and Nevada. They have always had a first class operation, the finest equipment, operators and support staff. I do however see your point about it being confusing though. And am certain that Cal-Nevada outstanding reputation will speak for it self and that they will contuine to lead the industry in this part of the country for some time to come. Posts: 1 05/20/09 12:06:47	I will tell you what the general public and tow companies in Nevada don't know, Cal-Neva in Carson City has for several years, been reporting insurance fraud to our state agencies (N.T.A). (N.D.I) D.P.S Etc... Several insurance agents,(Reno/Carson City) have been selling insurance to Illegal immigrants with no identity and/or fake I.D produced in Reno/Carson City. these people who get arrested/impounded have been registering these vehicle with the D.M.V. Since there is no statue that requires D.M.V to ask for I.D. Now heres is the. Tow companies reserve the right to have policies in place to protect them selves from conversion liability. The Attorney generals Office knows this information, but decided to quiet Cal-Neva, by falsely charging the company and it's agents. Cal-Neva has been cleared and exonerated from these false charges, and now is pursuing a civil action against all parties involved , including the A.G office. There is so mush corruption in the government agencies "it's a good old boys club" and it's about time this tow company sues them all.
