I actually remember a discussion from several years ago about the "safety restraints - fall protection requirements" from working on the side of a semi trailer..

Not sure I can find that one again, but I will have to look into it again and see if I can find any relevant information.

But I agree that there is a lot of this discussion about the recovery of the 1997 Saturn where I do not see all the charges being valid, and some of them being on the edges of double dipping.

Now over on other forums, there have been several comments made about the insurance company paying the bill, and as such that is most likely valid. There were also comments regarding the insurance companies "BUILDING FILES ON BILLING PRACTICES" and as such I think that is most likely being done. Remember we are trying to build files and such to show that our rates are valid and that payment has been made on recpvery jobs.

I kind of expect to see a lawsuit over this...

Each of the charges appears valid, in certain circumstances, but the question is whether all the charges are valid in this (or any) circumstance. Mileage plus hourly minimums? Rotator (presumably with an operator) plus labor plus rigger? There was a flatbed, presumably with an operator. Lots of folks on scene. I don't remember what the loading fee is charged for....loading onto the flatbed? What is the flatbed charge for? Obviously the flatbed was necessary to haul the casualty, so charge for it. The minimum doesn't include loading? I guess the the min was for the tator and maybe the flatbed loaded via its own winch. But we already charged for the flatbed. Perhaps that was a flatbed without a winch. Plus mileage? Whew...and there are folks who don't like ppp because it's abused or misused or some such, so they keep it clean by charging by the hour, or by the mile,...

I wont say much here as I have been posting on another board but I have to wonder why we have to have "CREATIVE" billing. Why cant we just bill what a job is worth and be able to justify those charges without all the fan-fare.
