A tow truck operator attempting to repossess a Jeep earlier this week ended up being arrested for impersonating a Buffalo police officer while trying to frighten the driver into surrendering the vehicle, authorities said.

Jeremy J. Branch. 24, of Gabriel Drive, Lockport, grabbed Patrice Pope by the shoulders and “threatened to rip her out of the car” on the first block of Burlington Avenue late Wednesday night, before she was able to drive off, Northeast District police said.

Branch then chased and stopped Pope at Kensington and Deerfield avenues, where he produced a Buffalo police uniform badge and ordered her out, police said.

With Price Per Pound, you have the hazardous materials surcharges and as such do you think that the rates should reflect new surcharges for "Pesticides and Medical Waste".

It is something that I have been working on and checking out the possibility of including this in the newest Price Per Pound rate sheets which I am working on. (Yes this subject is also discussed in the training manual) (and yes I'm working on getting it printed)

EUGENE (AP) — Eugene businesswoman Sue Scott has let homeless people live in trailers and motor homes on her property for two years. And she hasn’t regretted a minute of it.

In fact, she recommends that other business owners do the same thing.

‘‘I had all the fears that most people do,’’ she said. ‘‘What about the trash that may be left behind? What about the old car that may be left? And all that stuff. But I said OK. And you know what? I’m glad I did.’’

Scott, an owner of Scott & Sons Towing, is one of 12 Eugene business owners who participate in the city’s homeless vehicle camping program.

Houston County Deputies placed a BOLO for a suspicious circumstance of a black Acura chasing a black wrecker around the mid hours of the morning.  Deputies responded to the call finding nothing.  Around 5 a.m. the person of the black Acura reports that the wrecker has been wrecked into the woods at Willie Varnum and State Line Road.  When units arrive they can not find the driver of the wrecker.  Alabama State Troopers are on scene along with Cottonwood Fire.  Troopers and Deputies are investigating the accident.
