When will our industry wake up and start charging what our services are worth? Why do so many charge based on time? I believe we are our own worst enemy since
there are so many of us who charge too little in an attempt to gain business and the rest of us are too afraid to raise their rates because they're afraid
the cheap guy might get more of our business. It's time that we as a professional and specialized industry take a look at how we charge for our services or
else we are in for a lot of trouble in the near future.

If you hurt your knee and required surgery the doctor would charge you about fifteen to twenty thousand dollars to cut a small hole and scrape out some damaged
tissue. I could cut a small hole in your knee and scrape some tissue out but I doubt I'd do it correctly and solve the problem. A doctor might be able to
hook a strap on to an overturned tractor and trailer and pull a lever but I doubt he'd do it correctly or solve the problem. I bet...

Some towers have found a new niche that seems to be paying off, property cleanup and restoration. All vehicles are required to have liability insurance but
many do not have collision. If a vehicle without collision insurance goes off the road, down in a ditch, through trees and requires a lot of time and equipment
to retrieve we often get stuck with a worthless car and no way to get paid. The way I understand it is that if you don't charge for a recovery of the
wrecked vehicle but instead bill the car's liability insurance for clearing "debris" from the property, public or private, you can now require
the insurance company to pay. Some companies are going as far as restoring the property that was damaged by the incident and charging for it also. They smooth
out ruts, remove broken trees, seed and straw.

Have you tried this at your company?

If not, are you willing to try?

Can you offer more info on how to best succeed in making the...
