			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I figured that I have to put this information out there, since I tend to get a lot of views and some calls - emails about semianrs.<br><br><br>First of all, the seminars can be presented to any kind of group which deals with trucking or towing. Yes that means that it can be hosted by and presented to trucking companies, insurance companies and of course towing associations.<br><br>The costs are very reasonable to host a seminar and the requirements are not that hard to meet. <br><br>First of all, got to have a meeting room and plenty of chairs and tables for it. <br>The presentation is via a powerpoint program, so I will bring up my computer and projector (don't laugh, its big but it works).<br><br>We provide handouts dealing with Price Per Pound which average 25 pages of information, and include basic information and our current rate sheet in use where I work here in Alabama.<br><br>Travel costs - expenses and of course a fee for the program and handouts are the main expenses... ]]></description>

The device, from <a  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://inthinc.com/">inthinc Technology Solutions</a>, will offer an audible warning to a driver when phone or text usage is detected and send alerts to fleet managers.</p>
<p>The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration recently <a  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://fleetowner.com/management/fmcsa-bans-cell-phone-use-1123/index.html">enacted a ban on all handheld cell phone use</a> for commercial vehicle operators, with companies facing fines of up to $11,000 per violation committed by their drivers.</p>

<p>HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- Huntsville Police Chief Mark Hudson is determined to stop what he calls "outrageous" fees charged by some wrecker services on the city's next-in-line tow roster.</p>
<p>At its meeting Thursday, the City Council is expected to consider a police department proposal to set $150 as the maximum rate for a basic tow of a disabled car, SUV or pickup truck.</p>
<p>Companies on the next-in-line roster would also have to provide the first 24 hours of vehicle storage free and could not charge extra for oil dry, a material that soaks up oil, antifreeze and other engine fluids.</p>
<p>"All we're trying to do," Hudson said Thursday, "is establish a fee schedule that is fair for our citizens and still allows the wrecker companies to make a decent profit."</p>
